This super-cute 100% mohair fluffy cardigan features a slightly oversized fit, cropped length, balloon sleeves, a gentle v-neck and front opening with no buttons or fastenings. The knitting pattern was designed to be intentionally uncomplicated, making it the perfect guided knitting project, even if you’ve never picked up a pair of knitting needles before. Your booking will include:
A PDF copy of the Chunky Mohair Cardigan Knitting Pattern
4 live Zoom knit-along sessions throughout January where I will be guiding you through the construction of each panel of the cardigan, starting with the back, then the fronts, then the sleeves
Clear guidance of how to continue knitting in your own time the rest of each of the panels that we will start at each of the live Zoom sessions
Advice on how to adjust the pattern to achieve any adjustments to the fit (e.g. lengthening/shortening the body or sleeves)
“Me-time” with a new or already loved craft in the company of others who will all be knitting alongside you
During the knit-along sessions, you will learn:
How to cast on stitches, ready for knitting
How to knit and purl stitches
How to knit 1×1 rib
How to knit stockinette stitch
How to knit garter stitch
How to do gentle shaping (increasing & decreasing stitches)
How to sew knitted panels together to create a finished garment
By the end of the knit-along, you will have knitted yourself a gorgeous mohair cardigan to keep you warm and cozy through the rest of the winter months, transitioning perfectly into spring. What You Will Need
To make your Chunky Mohair Cardigan, you will need:
Chunky/DK Mohair Yarn recommended for 5.5mm needles (350-400g)
A pair of 9mm knitting needles (for the ribbing)
A pair of 15mm knitting needles (for the main body)
You can either source the mohair yarn yourself or buy one of our exclusively-priced KNITTEDly Chunky Mohair Cardigan Kits in any of the custom colourways available as an add-on at checkout. The kits will include all the mohair yarn plus a paper copy of the knitting pattern. PLEASE NOTE THE KITS WILL NOT INCLUDE THE KNITTING NEEDLES so you will need to source these yourself but they are widely available.
